We, the Alejos, are a family of horsemen and horsewomen, born in Guatemala and raised between the vast landscapes of Guatemala and the United States. Our roots run deep in the lands we have called home, shaped by the rugged beauty of the countryside and the timeless traditions of our ancestors. Raised on a ranch without social media or modern distractions, we lived a life centered around nature, hard work, and horsemanship. Each of us developed a unique Western style, one that reflects our heritage and the craftsmanship of Guatemalan artisans blended with the Spanish legacy of our bloodline.
We are the sons and daughters of Silvia Asturias and José Alejos. From our father, we inherited a profound connection to horsemanship, western life style, and tradition. From our mother, an outstanding artist, we received the gift of creativity, a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, and an instinct for design. Her artistic spirit has shaped us, influencing the way we see color, texture, and storytelling through fashion. It is through our parents vision that artistry and horsemanship flows into every piece we create, making Hermanos Alejos not just a brand, but an expression of generations of skill, heritage, and passion.
Our story begins centuries ago, when the first Alejos arrived in the Americas alongside the Spanish cavalry, bringing with them a tradition of horsemanship that would define our family for generations. Settling in what is now southwestern Guatemala, our ancestors worked the land, raised horses, and built a legacy that still thrives today. Eleven generations later, we continue to uphold that tradition at El Jabalín Ranch, a sacred place that has been home to our family's knowledge of horsemanship and ranching. Our great-grandfather, Horacio "Lacho" Alejos, was a master horseman, passing down his wisdom to our father, José, who in turn instilled in us the values of hard work, discipline, and respect for our crafts.

Hermanos Alejos is more than just clothing—it is a celebration of our identity. Our designs are inspired by the vibrant textiles and artistry of Guatemala, combined with the timeless elegance of Spanish influence and the rugged, free-spirited nature of the American West. Each piece tells a story, capturing the essence of who we are and where we come from.
This brand is about four siblings -Jose Adrian (Dochi), Joe, Emilia and Silvia Andrea—are designers, each bringing their creative vision to our family's Western aesthetic. Together, we craft pieces that honor the past while embracing the future, ensuring that our legacy lives on in the modern era.
